For a modern and competitive 2021-2027 EU budget

Dear friends and Colleagues,

as you can see, the European "Manifesto for more funds for research" has got wide reconnaissance at individual, corporate, academic and institutional level. The Promoters have made good use of the list of signatories that has been the fundamental background reference for various high level meetings.

The time for the endorsement is now expired and the MFF negotiation has entered into a more advanced phase where the legislators has clearly kept in high considerations the main requests included in the Manifesto.

However, promoter and supporters must pay very much attention to the next steps of the legislative process as many variables might still negatively affect the high consideration that R&D is enjoying in this phase.

The endorsement of the Manifesto has been an important action toward a Multiannual Financial Framework more favourable to R&D and, if appropriate, we may promote a similar initiative before the final approval of the MFF.

We thank you very much for your support in the highest interest of the future EU R&D activities.
